Mark_Dj Whats the best way to tidy under the bonnet up? I have a few rusty parts that need sorting out. Would I be best getting new parts or treat them? I also can see an oil leak. That might just be the oil cap seal like normal. I pick my new car up on Saturday. I want to make it nice under the bonnet.
m4rtin personally id just re new all the jubilee clips, nuts and bolts... shouldnt cost too much from a good autofactors or vaux? but if not ive heard leaving them to soak in coca cola over night should help shift the rust then buff up with autosol metal polish?
Sjdickso As above Mark i would just replace all clips etc. paint the rusty bracket I would degrease the engine bay and then inspect the engine for the leak.
Matt The breather pipe will be blocked, which is why there is oil down the front and on the heat shield. Just remove it, and give it a good clean
