Installed ported inlet manifold now have ECU light on..... Please HELP!!

I have installed a ported z22se inlet manifold which I believe was done originally by Vocky on this forum.
After starting the car up I got the ECU and ABS light on, the code it threw up was P1415 which from brief search on google is a common problem once the inlet side of things has been changed.
I immediately set about resetting the ECU over night and in the morning when I fired it up, the lights were out and it was fine for a while. Then both lights cam on again and it went into limp mode again.

Is there anyway round this issue? I seem to recall there was no conclusion to this?

Any ideas, help or suggestions would be great, otherwise I will revert back to the standard inlet 🙁

If its the inlet manifold that I think it is then there should be no issue. Is the rubber seal around the bottom of the throttle body in place correctly? Are all the inlet gaskets in place? Is the MAP located correctly/plugged in?

I assume so. I had it fitted by a mate who is a vauxhall tech but we reused the old gaskets..... do you think it would have been better to use new set?

It would be better to use new. The old ones might not be sealing correctly.

Is this the inlet manifold from a chap called Jamie?

Ok, so I will try and get a new gasket set. In terms of the actual manifold, could there be an issue with it not being sealed correctly after it was ported?

It was fine when it was fitted to Jamies car originally, I was there.

I will try new gaskets and make sure all is in order and update

ok a quick update.....

Changed the inlet gasket on the weekend and made sure everything was good and tight but still, after a while the lights came on an the symptoms above returned.
I spoke to MPG were it was remapped and they said the new inlet would not cause the map to light up the ECU and ABS warnings. They did however suggest that because the ABS light was on too that this suggests the IAT sensor was at fault.
As this is not that expensive I'm willing to get this changed along with an ECU reset to see if this cures the issue.
Any other suggestions would be great guys as people have installed the 2.4 inlet without issues so its bugging me as to why this is happening.

Not sure but I have read a number of posts where the ECU and ABS lights come on simultaneously

usually the coolant temp sensor sets off those lights

also dodgy connector by the front of the inlet manifold next to the throttle body [grey square plug]

massive air leak also

any problems with the throttle body and both lights will pop up

If one of the earths got left off either on the ecu or under the manifold on the block that might cause similar problems. Worth a look:unsure:

Hi,
Sorry to bump an old thread but I'm still having issues with this. I've been told that messing with the standard inlet manifold is a bad idea and can cause issues. Is there truth in that?

Check the manifold for cracks etc (could have happened in transport)? Also double check for air leaks.

Also worth noting that if you have poor/average fuel pressure (engine not getting the required fuel the ecu asks for) this will also throw up air intake codes as the fuel (/ air) system is read at the lambda. A remap might sort this too.

as already said double check for air leaks, only takes a pin prick of an air leak to upset the air fuel ratio. on mine theres 2 small vaccum take off ports on the manifold next to the brake servo line conection, one of these may have its cover split or missing. hard to see as they are tucked right in.
