Z22SE Engine and F23 box from a VX220

Removed out of my car last weekend as im having an engine conversion to a z20leh + M32

Car was on 58k when I dropped it off and the engine had a new timing chain fitted less than 10k ago (I have the reciept for this) with regular oil changes every 3-4k

Collection from CV7

Looking for £500 however open to offers if collected within the next few weeks before my conversion is complete

😃 I know, cant wait. Hopefully mapped to 260ish, cant go further as I cant afford the charge cooler to keep temps down just yet, still it should be enough to see 300bhp/ton and boost will be mapped nicely with the standalone ECU and cable throttle

Notice your from Sheffield, im just down the road in Rotherham so if you see a rapid little red VX its likely to be me 😉

Sweet, what ratios are you going for in the M32? Similar set up to @[deleted] ?

Standard Astra VXR ratios as turbo power, Vocky has different ratios to suit the nature of his engine as it isnt Turbo

This is probably a stupid question from a complete Z22se-newbie...
Will this engine fit in a left hand drive Zafira (I live in Denmark)?
A friend of mine warned me that the Z22se engine in a right hand drive Zafira is different from a left hand drive (doesnt sound right to me).

(Just got a quote from the mechanic after chain jumped a couple of teeth (inlet valves bent): £1500 for removing, recondition and mounting the cylindar head, and changing the 2 chains.)

engines are exactly the same, just use your ecu and engine loom (vx220 ecu and engine loom is different to a zafira)

also remember to remove the vx220 oil cooler fittings including the oil pressure blank inside the oil filter housing, but Duncan could do that for you

Cant believe nobody wants this, not long back they used to fly out of the door at a few hundered more than this just for the engine without the box.

What would need doing to get this into an Astra G 2.2, as I need an engine?

you can either keep the oil cooler and add an oil cooler rad or remove it and make it standard

I can post a 'how 2' for removing the vx220 oil cooler fittings if you wish, it really is a 2 minute job 🙂

Any chance of a "How To" for mounting the vx220 oil cooler etc into the Astra G? 😉
