I had a Meriva for a couple of weeks and tbh its a pointless car IMO. The boot was tall but the floor space was tiny so you have to stack everything, shopping was a nightmare. You might as well get a corsa vxr, better looks, handling, same engine and not much difference in usable size. A mate of mine had one and soon chopped it in as he hated the way it drove, fast but a poor driving position and handling.
How about a zaffy gsi or zaffy b vxr, I think the old gsi still looks good today although a bit dated in the inside.
