Have a '02 Vectra B Estate 2.2, bought recently thinking that a hole in the CAT was causing car to overfuel and therefore misfire.
So fit new CAT with new O2 sensors and although quiet as not blowing still missing like a good 'un.
No EML on dash as title suggests, only fault code stored when first checked with Tech 2 was for CAT efficiency but cleared codes after fitting, that has stayed out and no other codes stored. '0' total misfire count when checking with Tech 2 with car running.
Have tried new plugs, still not right. Tested coil pack by grounding out and turning over - appears all 4 are firing ok although believe coil pack and come under issues when installed as different circumstances when inside cylinder so apparently could be best to try one anyway?
Have read on here about CTS but appears to cause intermittant issue as appose to constant miss?
Also thinking may be fuel related, any common problems with fuel pump or fuel regulator/regulating??
Any thoughts/help appreciated.
