jnaisby my chain started to rattle then snapped the top of the tensioner off and snapped the bolt in cylinder head which has got to where i am. all because piston number 1 has been starved of oil as you can see in the pictures the shell has gone to almost nothing. my engine is in bits and my ideas are to do a balance shaft delete, replace pistons and con rods to Z22YH ones (because of the wear on my ones), port and polish head and redo my cams to fast road. any other ideas? I'm looking to try keep good MPG with nice power boost as well, I've already got the dbilas intake and out take manifolds, with decat and Cobra exhaust. thanks jnaisby
vocky judging by the state of the big end bearings your crank will need replacing too otherwise a good spec to rebuild it to (y)
jnaisby well alot of it is going to a machine shop because of the pots been in the oversize area and hoping for them to fix the crankshaft too because they have the gear. just a waiting game for it to be checked and see what they say
