[FONT=arial black]Thought it only polite to introduce myself. Names Shamus and just acquired a very nice Astra 2.2 SRI. Been a Vauxhall man for a long while which has included a 1.8 Cavalier, 1.7 TD Cavalier, 1.8 Vectra, 2.5 V6 Vectra, 1.7 DTI Astra, 2.6 V6 Vectra, 1.7 DTI Eco Astra and now the 2.2. I've swopped between petrol & diesels depending on how many miles I'm having to cover at the time.[/FONT]
[FONT=arial black]So far, well impressed with the 2.2, only 150 miles in but gathered lots of info from the site. Is a 57k 03 reg so hoping that it carries the new oil and chain but will be wipping off the timing cover in the next week to put any doubts to rest. Already done the airbox de-restriction and put a K&N filter in. Will be looking at the Vectra C air intake and the EGR mods shortly. Other than that I think it[/FONT]
[FONT=arial black] will stay pretty much standard.[/FONT]
[FONT=arial black]Any advice is gratefully received as it's the first 2.2 I've had so not that knowledgeable. Motorcyles and specifically my current bike, a ZX-9R is where most of mechanical knowledge lies.[/FONT]
