im thinking of selling the 2.2 :cry: i think it is time for a change 😃

but dont wory im going to stay with the 2.2 im thinking of changeing it for a 2.2 coupe astra. 😃

can anyone tell me what all the models mean ?

Go for the coupe you'll love it.
I much preferred it over the hatch when I was looking, just felt a bit stiffer and tighter (if that makes any sense)
There is loads of gen on this over on astra sport but basically you have SE1, SE2 and linea rossa (I think!).
SE1 and SE2 are both the same but made in 2001/2002 respectively. They are always dark blue, have half leather, half alacantra seats (the alacantra bit is blue), matching door cards, and steering wheel (and different alloys I think).
The linea rossa is the one with red and black leather interior (I think) and is only available in limited colours. not sure what though.

As far as I am aware thats it, all options I think are the same as the hatch.
Leather is always a plus and reasonably common in the coupe. AC is standard I think on the 2.2 with climate being an option (although I never saw one when looking). Spoiler on the back is also an option I think depending on year. Personally I think the spoiler only suits certain colours though... oh yeah, standard alloys are 16" Hope that helps a bit. Like I say there is loads of information on them over on astra sport...

The one nice thing about the coupe is they really are quite rare.
After I got mine I was looking hard too see another one.
I normally cycle 40 mins to work in London so see loads of cars in all the traffic. after a month I think I had only seen 5 other coupes... 8)

I was thinking the same thing but the girlfriend wants to keep the Astra hatch. I may get a second car later and get a Coupe 🙂. Mine would have to be black...

im selling mine,has full irmscher kit on it in chianti red,precat removed,deresricted air box and has had the timing chain done,also has 17 inch wheels and by tommorrow will have a new alternator as the old one failed on saturday,high mileage but goes well and engine is ok

i own a lina rossa model and its got the full full bertone trim as far as i aware the lina model was made for the european market and wear cheaper to buy the down side is you get lucus rear brake calipers which have a reputation for being rubbish and sticky if parked up for a length of time, with cloth seats but very comfortable as the have lumbar surport, full silver dash and dials, bertone sill cards, its got all the refinments esp,abs,ac,trip comp and cruise. being black it also has tinted lights front rear as standard its a really nice motor, the coupe is a very flat handling car but a little bit heavier than the 3 door, its the 2.2 and gives me around 43 mpg if driving at 70 mph with cruise on the motorway so can be sensible on fuel, range on a tank is about 460 miles on a trip and about 250 round town,

on a private road i have had her up to 140, gets a little fast then but she was still going, book says 146 but i reckon the niddle would go near the 160 to get to that as my road angel was reading 132.

had her for a year now and i am well impressed, was thinking of getting the golf gt tdi, however the value of my car has halfed in a year, 84000 miles on 52 coupe in black valued @ 3,800, i aint letting her go for that no way she gotta be worth at least five

anyway theres my astra story

sorry 2.2berfurno but your car is not a linea rossa models as these were only available in red or silver,would hsve had black/red leather trim and steering wheel,red top to the gear lever,your car is a standard coupe
