Vectra C Z22SE Custom Exhaust

Hello All,

I have my car booked in to have my Lexmaul 4-1 200 Cell Sports Manicat fitted complete with a full custom system.

I have measured the diameter of the pipe coming out from the manicat and it is 2" (50mm).

Should I have a 2" downpipe and 2" system fitted to the car? I'm looking for a more free flowing exhaust to free up some BHP.

Can anyone suggest something better size wise?

I've decided on a 2.5" downpipe in to a 2.25" system.

Being fitted Monday, does this sound okay?

Will do mate, can't wait for Monday! Undecided on tailpipe choice, I'll have a look when I get there. Inlet and head work to come in the future.

Currently running a standard 164 bhp and 173 ft/lbs torque. Will have it on a RR after to see if I have gained anything from the Lexmaul manicat.

the after market manifolds produced an extra 5 bhp on average so it will be interesting to say the least

Thanks for the info Mike. I can expect around 169 bhp roughly then. Obviously that's relying on the previous RR being accurate!

Hi Matt,

Exhaust was fitted. I went for 2.5" downpipe into a 2.25" exhaust. Manicat wasn't fitted as I forgot the gasket etc!!

Car burbles very nicely and pops on deceleration a surprising amount considering the engine is standard!

Will get pics up once I've worked out how to blank my plate out.

Really happy with it so far, bedding in nicely. Having my VXR brakes fitted tomorrow which will be nice. Even in everyday driving the standard 285mm discs are scary!
