Whats Wrong?

Is there a problem with this site? Dont know if its just me but its running very slow and also i have to long on most time to get on the forums even after ticking the box!

Yes it's been slow tonight mate. It's starting to piss me off now as members will not be happy about this also, and they may not come back 🙁. This is our second server and all was good til about the second / 3rd day.

Same here guys,running ver slow aswell..say that mi internet connection seems very slow too..so cud be a combo of both..

Don't worry it should all be sorted soon. Matt has done alot getting it up and running again. It's getting to me seeing the site go off or running slow the last week. It's a new server and we don't know how good it is yet...

I have noticed it a bit slow at times.

Unfortunately, thats the problem with shared hosting, because there will be loads of websites on the same server as ours. It only takes on of the other sites to use a lot of resources, and all the sites on the server run slow. I'll raise a ticket with the hosting company to see what they have to say.

The only way around this is to have a dedicated server....which costs ££££££££

Always the case mate, i had the same problem when i was on shared hosting with siteground.

Lol, i know exactly what you mean, a vps is cheaper but you still have the same problem.

I could build the server no problem, I've got one at work! But I have no way of getting it to face the internet, as it's behind the company firewall. Plus, I have no facility to host it from home, as I don't the a capable connection.

The company we are with offer dedicated hosting.......the basic package is $149 per calendar month!

Unfortunately, server load is still quite high, so I've asked them to have another look.

It's only since yesterday that the server load has gone up. Before, it rarely went about 2, but it's been going from between 7-20.

thats not a bad uptime to be honets. it's much better than the last one we were with. Seems to be working fine now though. I'll keep on at them.
