Maybe introducing a 200 cpi sport cat back into the system may help? Did you get a torque figure result too today?

Generally, removing the main cat and centre box causes loss of all important back pressure and this will affect performance. Whilst my engine was NA, the best set up that I had was a Milltek 2.5" cat back with 200 cpi sport cat.

not having a cat on standard management effects fueling imo so you will lose a bit of acceleration however with your fpr vacuum fitted to the manifold you probably counteract as i noticed more umph at lower revs but less of the power midrange
the double d backboxes are restrictive and standard 2" centre section will do litte

next job is decent manifold, sports cat on standard downpipe and militek / piper cat back - you squeeze another 10 bhp from that imo

that will set you back a grand but you pay silly money for little increases on NA engines

I did get all the figures, but as the printer was down at the rr they are emailing all the graphs out to us.

I was aware of the back pressure issue but i removed the cat out of necessity really as it was blocked and throwing the eml light on. I got it removed and then fitted an L shaped "cheater" to the rear lambda to remove the eml light again.

Ill have to get another cat fitted come MOT time as its now tested here, however, I shan't be spending a grand on it or anywhere near it lol! It only cost me that 1.5 years ago!!

i had those exact same plugs on mine with the single electrode. Changed them to the 3 electrodes and it made such a difference! The whole car ran smoother and felt a bit more eager, though it was serviced at the same time haha! Difference between the 3 electrode and the 1 are, instead of getting one spark per plug you getting 3 resulting in better performance, mpg etc...

3 sparks? I find that as a load of rubbish!! According to gcse physics, Electricity will take the path of least resistance, ie, whichever electrode has the least resistance the spark will jump to. I find it very difficult to believe that triple electrode plugs actually result in 3 sparks. And even if that did happen, how does that equate to better performance??

Got the graph, looks pretty good to me. My only concern is that at the top end rpm the torque and bhp drops off dramatically.

Ok, I didn't explain very well in my last post. I am fully aware that electricity will only travel the route with the least resistance. On single electrode spark plugs this means there is only one possible route every time. However, with triple electrode the spark has three possible routs to take. E.g. electrode One may have least resistance, followed by electrode two then electrode three. This results in less carbon build up on the electrode tips which in turn gives better service life on the spark plugs. Also with there being less carbon on the tips can result in better ignition which may lead to mpg and performance increases. I'm sure if you google this there will be more detailed info.
