Gazza can we get all these for the 2.2 engine if so where ? i wont to colour code every hose in the engine bay blue and chrome like the top of the fuse box battery cover etc 😃 any pics of this if you have it done ?
Gazza yea been looking on astra sport and some the engine bays look great colour coded but cant find any 2.2 :cry:
Daz I think the demand for them aint that high so nobody has bothered making them yet..unlike the turbo engines etc..
JohnnyN I got in contact with Samco about silicone hoses for the 2.2 and they said that they had no intention of making them as they are more suited for the turbo engines because they are a lot stronger than standard hoses which are more able to cope with the pressures involved with turbos. what..
LeeSRI U can get them but you would have to measure all the hoses you wanted and angles and althat. when worked out with samco came to about £450 witch is a little step i thinks.
JohnnyN Is that the 'off the roll' type of hoses? I know you can get universal hose but it doesn't look as good as the made to measure kits.
Gazza its a shame really i cant understand why they done the turboas there were only 500 made and the 2.2 there were 1000's notsure.gif
K70_RAF was chatting to a pipe company at Trax who had a stand and they said they would be looking into doing a kit for the 2.2 early next year. Can't remember their name though! Doh
SRI_150_2 i no someone on VVOC is doing and selling a kit for the vec 2.2 but i don't no if it will the astra dunno..
Matt It's EarlofBarnet who also does the kits on VVOC, same as on here. He's been trying to get something set up for the Astra from reading that thread.
BURT150 Yea roose motorsport do them i enquired not long ago for the thermostat to rad hose. I think the main two coolant hoses fit the astra and vectra. I think notsure.gif
sdbutler10 i have managed to source some astra coolant hoses now and trying o find out if he wants them hopfully be all good 😃
