well ive fitted the grill and it looks crap because of the bonnet release lever does anyone no what i can do

I just removed the full catch on my Astra, never any issues...

if i removed the full catch aint there a chance that the bonnet could fly open

If you pop the bonnet mid drive I'd imagine so... But I once accidentally drove mine with it popped and only noticed the end of that day... But I did gave bonnet lifters fitted, maybe they helped lol...

In the 2 years I had the car the worse never happened.

Just follow our guide on shortening it if you are worried about removing it fully
