Well being off work....and bored.....ment me going to Vauxhall today! The phone call sparked my curiosity, and while not bothered about the amount I spend per month on the Astra, it got me wondering what they could actually put me in for the same amount of money.
Got there, and had a look at a sweet looking 61 plate Lime Geeen Corsa VXR Nurburgring

They could put me in a 61 plate Chilli Orange one for £9 a week more than I am paying now.

As the orange one is at a different dealer, I took the green one out for a test drive.
Now, I was totally underwhelmed by the Corsa! I was expecting something similar to the Astra power wise, given the lower weight, but it felt really lacking. It was very rattly inside compared to the Astra, and still felt quite big.
The only plus side I could see was the brembo brakes, and the recaro start star seats....but this certainly isn't worth me shelling out an extra £10k given my Astra will be paid off in just over 2 years.
I'm 100% decided now I'm going to be holding out until the new Astra has been out for a year or so, and will be upgrading to one of those.
