Alarm keeps going off

Vectra C 2.2 direct 2006 Estate.

Hoping someone can help, Parked the car up on the drive and locked up as usual, 10-15 mins later the alarm goes off. Reset and all ok another 10-15 mins and the alarm is going off again, after a quick google checked the rear side windows sensors and by-passed them just in case but still goes off, Does anyone know if there is a rear window sensor, I've taken off the panel but couldnt see any obvious connections. Put the op-com on and got :-

B3901 - Wrong Environment Identifier Received
(00) - Not present

B3078 - Anti Theft Warning System Ultrasonic Sensor Circuit Malfunction
(05) - Present

Any ideas????

i had a similar problem with my astra coupe. it turned out that the battery was dieing on the power sounder which caused a drop in vaultage which set the alarm off as it 'thought' it was being stolen! i had to drive it to the garage i bought it from with the alarm going off! you can dissconnect it yourself but wear ear protectors because its ear piercing haha. its located behind the front passenger wheel arch.(on my car anyway) if you google it im sure you will find more detailed info. hope this helps.

check the sensors inside the car first but could be that dreaded battery backed up sounder.....

Thanks for the info, I've the facelift 2006 Vectra Estate which I dont think has a backup battery for the Power Sounder o_O Does anyone know if its got a built it battery???????????

I've checked the Window Pane sensors which are ok, also op-com says Okay too, (I couldnt find anything on the rear window does anyone know if there is a window break sensor there? maybe it runs through the main demister element?? ) bonnet sensor is saying closed, and I've disabled the ultrasonics (By pressing the button on the dash before leaving). Still the alarm keeps going off (it could be 10 mins or 2 hours) at random intervals

:mad: Its starting to get a bit of a pain not only with me, but the neighbours too! Starting to think its some kind of voltage fluctuation, but dont know where to start 1st????

Any help would be appreciated.

According to the TIS2000 wiring diagram the power sounder is located in the rear quarter panel section. Diagram is not that clear so i cant tell if you access it from the boot or from the passenger rear wheelarch/underneath.

I searched based on what you said above = Vectra C 2.2 direct 2006 Estate (z22yh)

Maybe someone else on here can help further???

Hi all, thought I would update this thread with the solution to this. It was the window pane break sensors in the back windows, even though the opcom said it was ok, every now and again the circuit broke and set the alarm off. narrowed it down to just one side, by-passed the sensor (took an old fuse broke it and used the spades to join the 2 wires together)

Just noticed this thread, glad you got it sorted, its a common problem with the estate and as you've found an easy temp fix.
