Morning All.

I am afraid i need to ask a really dumb ass questions so apologies up front as i just want to confirm before commiting some cash.

I have a Y reg 2001 Zafira 2.2 ( As far as i know is a Z22se) Unfortunately the bottom end has gone off to join the fairies (dont think it could use mucjh more oil if it tried.

Just need to confirm that the Z22se in the vectra and astra of the same vintage is the same engine and not modified slightly to fit either of the cars.

is somebody able to confirm for me?

Yes. z22se is used in the Astra, Vectra, Zafira and vx220.

Cam is different on the Vectra B as it drives the power steering, but you can just swap the cam for a non-vectra one.

Or just fit the blanking plate of ure old engine. 🙂
