Help please! Erratic idle and engine stalling when warm

Hi, just had underperforming alternator changed and had to disconnected battery, fuel/vacuum lines in process to make room. Replaced all lines etc and reconnected battery.
Engine runs fantastic now and battery is receiving charge. Starts fine from, cold but as soon as engine gets warm, starts to hunt on idle/tickover. Wildly fluctuates from 400-800rpm then stalls.

No error codes on diagnostics.

EGR works fine and no perceptible leaks.

Any help greatly appreciated. 🙂

Have you tried the coil pack as my astra had the same kind of problem and when i changed the coil pack the problem went

Coil pack does seem to be starting to become a common issue as the engines are getting older, so I'd also recommend trying a new one first.

if you want a coil pack try these http://www.vauxcentre.co.uk/index.php they do original and aftermarket coil packs if can remember right i think the aftermarket one was £90 and the original one was £150 i went with the original and ive not had a problem since i fitted it. if you cant find the coil pack on there website can them a call because they dont put all there parts on the website

Many thanks to all who have contributed, :bow: ... it seems that it was just the computer 'relearning' since the battery had been disconnected for long enough for the ECU to reset :oops:...it just took several starts and journeys and seems to be settling down to a steady approx. 650rpm (on the gauge) now....Here's hoping that that's all it was :eek:. Thanks for pointing out the ignition coil as a possible issue...I will keep an eye on that one...
