can a buckled alloy be repaired?

last year sometime i was driving about at night whilst chucking it down. all of a sudden bang. long story short snapped coil spring which cut in to the tyre as your see in the pic as well as buckling my wheel anybody know 1 if its possible to fix a buckled wheel. 2 anywhere in sussex? (pushing it i know) I like the big 18 LENSO’S vx alloys just blend it in, where as the lenso wheels it stood out.

it is possible depending on how thick the material is, i have done one as a favour to someone however i can see why a lot of places wont.
it puts them in a position that makes em responsible if they scrap or crack your wheel, also if it fails

yer it is ;( can see it when its in front of you pic isnt the best, can feel it when driving tho.

found a place to refurb all 4 and de buckle 2 wheels i think its 2 for about £360 almost not worth it? and i need 1 new tyre as well the rest are all new still. altho to buy new this site http://www.kentcustoms.co.uk/acatalog/4x_18_Inch_Lenso_LS_21_Alloy_With_tyres.php £824.00

£360? Upper end of the scale but if its a top notch job its not bad.

in saying that, a Polish fella running Polished Alloys in Belfast and hell do a straight forward minor kerb repair and full repaint for £100! His works very good too!

looking at the pics they have looks like they do a great job so may not be that bad then as the alloys were kerbed a few times by the guy who had them on the car before. and when you say a minor kerb damage charges from 1 guy being £100 it doesnt seem so bad. may have to take the wheels to them see what they say when they see them.

If the work is good, then it's not a bad price given it's buckled as well. The refub on my wheels would have cost £200 without having them shot blasted back, including re-fitting the tyres, and new balancing weights.

thats if they can all be repaired and is also based on 2 wheels being buckled. that would be all 4 wheels 3 tyres removed and refitted. i need to get a replacement tyre which hopefully I could find before they finish the job. Need them to give them the all clear and then source a tyre asap after that to let them fit it. I liked it when all 4 tyres were the same.

So listing the work to be done the price doesn’t seem all that bad, and there based about a 30mins drive away.

I'm exactly the same. I hated it when I had Conti 3 on the rear, and some random no brand shite on the front.

thats the setup iv got now on the vx wheels continentals on the rear and new runway enduros on the front, liked the thread on them dont know if there any good lol

finally got round to getting the wheels out from the alleyway today. looks like ill need 2 new tyres if i get these refubs done so it would cost appox £450 you can get the lensos ls21's for £800 inc slighty bigger tyres some being 225 40 18 where as mine are currently 215 35 18. not sure what to do now didnt fancy spending so much on them, what would you guys do?
