With a MASSIVE thanks to two members on here, one been a very well known member of this site indeed .
Yesterday i set off with one slightly smokey engine, the heart of my 2.2 had done me well and did fine on the 133 mile trip down south but was in need of an overhaul or a new heart, so i had purchased a new low mileage heart and was getting it swapped on the day i picked it up.
I got to Joes for 9:40 and by 10:15 Vocky was helping out, 10 minutes with the new heart at Vockys fingers and the new timming chain was fitted and done 🙂
Joe and Vocky took no time at all and in a flash, parts where coming off my car with ease.
Before long i had the following, the only ticky bit which i saw was one bolt on the exhaust manifold, and the dip stick, which really wanted to stay with the old engine.

My old lump was out and then with a very quick break for the guys, thanks to Neil another member who bought some bacon and bread the new lump was in with new gaskets, oil etc
Total time was just under 5hrs, then a another 133 mile trip back, below the finished article

I just want to say a massive thanks to Vocky and Joe, i really appreciate all there hard work and giving up a bank holiday to work on my car, they did a superb job on my car.
