hey when i start my car it rattles like hell for about 5 min then goes quite

i have been told it may be the hydraulic lifters and was just wondering if they are easy to fix and replace or can anyone think of anything else that could cause the noise thanks

Is it running better now?
Try giving it an engine flush and oil change with decent oil. It's not uncommon for an engine that's been idle for a while to rattle on start up. It'll probably get better in regular use.
Also take the plugs out and turn the engine over in 5 second bursts till the oil light goes out to make sure you have pressure.
