Bird Poop Damage

We've been on holiday this last week and the Audi got an annoying amount of bird poop on it. I've jet washed it, snow foamed, jetted, hand washed, clayed and waxed all over paying close attention to the poop areas and the damage to the paint is quite worrying.

I took to it with the DA and some Meguiars Ultimate Compound on the bonnet yet you can still see the blemish in the paint. It also feels rough. I had to really go at it an eventually the roughness subsided yet you can still see a blemish. I tried Meguiars Scratch X aswell and this has failed?

I haven't even started on the roof yet.

What products or combinations could I try next?

Sounds like the acid in the :poop: has eaten it's way into the clear coat.

If the DA with Megs Ultimate Compound hasn't fully removed it, you may have to wet sand them out :mad:

Firstly I'd try a proper rotary, not a da.

Failing that...get the 1500 wet an dry out!

same thing happened to our mini, had to repaint the entire bonnet :thumbdown:

I read on DetailingWorld someone with similar damage had to use a wool pad with a rotary to buff the damage out.

That's not good! Was that just from a single :poop: ?

there were three spots, one on the bonnet stripe and the other two were in the middle section between the stripes, so full repaint and new stripes/badge = £215 🙁

Just done mam and dads cars and mams had some on roof and that has cracked the paint work where it had been

Paint just ain't what it used to be anymore. Basically, as soon as a shit hits the panel it needs to be cleaned before it has time to dry.

I haven't cleaned the car since that last wash. May have another look tomorrow if I got time.

I need to get mine done as well, as I missed some polish last time I did it, and it's been bugging me since.

I had bird etching marks all over the clio, the rotary will hopefully pull it otherwise 2000 w&d for me.

ours were covered in brown from the recent storms, found out at work its sand brought up from the sahara, will defo be rinsing the car thoroughly before washing only washed and waxed last friday:rolleyes:

did ant of you get the cracker of a lightening storm we passed on to you? wednesday night from 3-4 it was impossible to sleep was a bit like being in syria!!

Our cars are similar I thought it was due to the builders just down the road putting in some new paths.
