stokie i have a 02 astra 2.2sri hatchback. so far ive tinted the windows put 4 vibe blackdeath 6x9 with vibe slick a4 amp my stereo is a pioneer avh-p5100dvd. on the outside now ive a straight through exhaust with burnt tip a pipercross induction kit but thats coming off going back to the air box with a pipercross filter and a super veccy pipe witch ive just finished doing so i will be fitting that soon and the last thing i had fitted was my 17in wolfrace assassin alloys. i want to modify it alot more but dont no want to do as i have never modified a astra before here is some pic
miniator Lower it! Darkened lights front and rear Irmscher grill Colour code handles and bump strips De wiper the rear
Matt Stereo wise, I'd get shut of the 6x9's in the shelf, fit a decent set of components up front, and use the amp for them. Also fit a sub for the bass, rather than relying on the 6x9's
stokie i cant get ride off the 6x9 i love them they wont be in the shelf for long as i am building something for them. i am going to get PIONEER TS-Q172C front components i just dont no what sub to get because they all seem crap compared to my old sub
stokie i am going to clean it plus i am going to paint the engine that if i keep the engine because i mite sick a z20let in
mazza_2_2 Really nice mate, but those front splitters are a pain. Only way to park is parallel with those lol. Mines knackered
stokie lol:rolf:i was think about putting 40mm lowering spring on but i dont think i am going to bother
stokie i never thought of 30mm but i still dont think i am going to lower it because i dont wont to buy new shocks plus i dont like the thought of the springs and shocks going to waste
stokie oh i thought you need to get shocks aswell because if you just put lowering spring on standard shocks it would make the ride harsh
miniator Ive my 60mm springs (Spax) on standard shocks and everyone has commented on how good the ride is. of course, ill have to change them for shortened shocks but only when they are done and leaking oil! Previously I had 40mm (Apex) springs and the ride was spot on with standard shocks. In fact, much better than standard imo. First block of pictures here are the 40's and the second are the 60/40's. https://z22se.co.uk/threads/my-astra-sri.18662/page-2
Matt My MK4 felt great on 30mm Eibach and standard shocks. Really comfortable with no issues. They do recommend shorter shocks (bilstein B6 for example) when running lower than 40mm springs

Also i would get rid of the cone filter - they sound good but suck in a lot of hot air that close to the engine!
