My New Toy!!

Well after a four month wait, I collected my new A3 from my local Audi dealer.

I have chosen this time an Audi A3 Sportback, in S-Line Black Edition trim.

In Ibis White
Bose Sound System
Privacy Glass
Xenon Headlights
Full Leather
Heated Seats
Cruise
iPod Integration

Plus all the usual S-line kit. I just hope that it will be a better experience than the last A3 I bought new back in 2006!

Anyway, here are some pics.

I hope you like it! It will take me some time to get used to it as I just loved my Mercedes CLK which you can still see in one of the pictures with a nice layer of dust on it! It's new owner should collect it later next week.

I was going to go for an Astra SRi VX-Line 2.0 CDTi but by the time I had specced it to the same level as the Audi, it had a list price of just over £27000! £1300 more than the Audi!! Something is for sure wrong with Vauxhall pricing! Also the Astra is the next band up on the emissions which would cost me £50 a month more in Tax that the Audi which is 115g/km, thats enough to more than run the Astra over a year!!

Looks spot on have a real soft spot for the A3, is it petrol or derv?

It's the 2.0 TDi 140. The 170 was really tempting and in budget, but as it was the next band up on the emissions, it would have cost me £48 a month more in tax, so I thought screw that!

I am sure if you wanted a remap would soon get you to that power. According to Superchips Blufin you can get 37Bhp increase and also 75NM torque increase, i supose it all depends how you are fixed with warranties etc.

140 may be ample for the time been anyway.

It is actually the 170 engine mapped down to 140bhp. I did consider doing something, but I would rather spend the money on the Astra.

Yeah. My boss has 1 they are mapped down for economy its ridiculous how many MPG he gets.
I'm quite jealous!

They are nice motors mate. I did a few stints working at my local Audi dealer through the agency I worked for. I had a shot in most of them at some point. If I was going to have one I'd plump for an RS4 though.
