Miltek on 2.2 NA

I presently have a regular 2 inch full Miltek system on my VX220 NA.

Would the VX220 Turbo 2.5 inch back box fit to the rest of the my exhaust system?

Is there any advantage in fitting the larger bore turbo back box.

I had a 2.5" Milltek on a standard downpipe with a 200cpi sport cat and my torque increased, and it was noticeable when I was NA.

What other mods do you have?

the vx220 turbo 2.5" milltek system suits the 2.2 vx220 much better as the U bend is too small and inside the 2.2 milltek the exhaust pipe is only 1 7/8" in diameter at it's smallest point.

it will bolt straight onto the downpipe/cat section

Thanks guys. Car has ITG, P&P TB, 2.4 Inlet, Piper Cams, Tullet 4into1, Full Miltek and Courtney map. Vocky tipped me some time ago that I should be dumping the std 2.2 Miltek. I am planning on attempting a warranty claim on my original Miltek as it sounds like there are a dozen coke cans bouncing around inside. I am hoping to get Miltek to supply 2.5 version as replacement.

Can anyone advise what kind of noise I can expect with a 2.5 inch turbo exhaust fitted?

The centre section on my Milltek failed. It burnt out! The steel perforated inserts in the tail pipes have come loose now too and it sounds horrid until I give them a quick tap with a hammer and screwdriver.

As for the exhaust note on the 2.5" system, maybe a little lower note on idle. I always used to refer to a Milltek system as the more conservative enthusiasts system, lol!

My torque dropped off with a 2.5" Milltek. I fitted a standard Turbo 2 1/4" cat back system and torque was much much better.

This is all linked with a Tullet manifold, and Piper 2.5" downpipe and 200 cell sports cat.
