my woes go on....................
not only do i suspect that the timing belt both me and the mrs's father told her to get done on purchase, has started giving up the ghost
but i am suffering all manner of electrical bizaareness now i have lost illumination of the mileage readout and i am feeling lumpy running, bad idle at start up, and the odd miss.
im not suprised being as my troubles started about 6 weeks ago, which is round the same time devon became a lot like atlantis. i suspect damps got in somewhere, and the list of errors gets larger!
its upsetting after all my work trying to eliminate all the other things wrong with this car. all i have done is service it, replaced the ENTIRE exhaust except downpipe, and really havent caned it at all..... the same cant be said for the mrs lol!! especially after i sorted the blocked exhaust out!
ive also noticed that bushes were an advisory for the mot last year, again nothing done about it:rolleyes:
to summarise i cant be assed to save this car. ive had to make too many hard decisions on motors recently and only bought this car as a runaround.
i was always an astra man, so all i see is a fucked cavalier when i go outside. its not worth pouring money into a car i never intended to keep. (thats what me astra was for!!)
whilst its a bit early and i havent saved as much as id like, im off car shopping next week. i am looking at fto's for now as ive always had a soft spot for them. good examples are very affordable at the mo and there is plenty of engines and spares online.
at least if that breaks down ill feel sorry for it!
