I would disagree. Tuning the 2.2 runs into thousands of £££'s for little gain however you go about it. Just as an example, I spent over £3k in 2006 to raise the power to 180bhp which included Schrick cams and double valve springs, ported head, 200 cell sport cat, 2.5" Milltek catback. Tuning the z22se engine at this time was still relatively new.
Jas has spent a fraction of that at todays rates and also carried out the work himself. He also has to option now to further the power by at least another 40bhp for hardly any cost. He may also consider overhauling the engine at a later date which to be honest wouldn't be that big an outlay.
