JohnnyN Worn engine mounts. Pretty much standard on the Vectra. The rear gearbox mount goes soft. The Astra, Zafira and vx220 have a different mount arrangement so the engine is better behaved in the engine bay.
jing-jang Hmmmm could be the gearbox mount then. sometimes when im putting it from neutral to first gear I can feel a very slight knock on my arm...will have to have a look properly under the engine. Thanks for the info. Im going to write ro that ebay not to bother sending the item
