Re the batteries, all droids are the same, as said turn everything off. There's a glitch though, and I now only use about 65% in a 19 hour day. Plug your phone into your PC, drag the phones screen down and unmount the phone from the PC via this method, don't unmount the phone via the PC, now charge as normal and you should see an increase in battery life. Every time to connect your phone to a PC make sure to disconnect it the way I mentioned or you'll be back to square one.
