Hi Guys

I've been having a tonne of electrical gremlins and immobiliser issues on my VX220. I've now resolved them by replacing the ECU with one I got from ebay. It's from a vectra as far as I'm aware and the car runs fine, but it keeps on throwing up random EML's

When readying the codes, it's things like it can't find the traction control or air conditioning. The other favourite is that the voltage is low on a the fuel tank sensor.

None of these codes do anything to the way the car runs but it's a bit misleading and I'd like to get rid of them without them re-appearing.

Do I need to get my ECU re-flashed with the VX220 software? How can I get this done?

probably due to the vx220 not having aircon ,not sure if they have t/c ,not sure on the pump.

Yeah the aircon and traction control are because they don't exist on the VX, but not sure about the other ones. :s

If the ECU is physically the same, and is currently working, I'd haves thought anyone with access to a proper tech2 could just load the standard VX220 ECU file?

Well that's what I was hoping.

Who would have the original VX220 ECU file? Is it a case of taking it to vauxhall?

You could always give Vauxhall a try. They may only charge you an hours labour to do it, as it shouldn't be much work for them to do it.
