Matt Had to fill up this morning through necessity rather than stupidity, and luckily, all they had left was V-Power  Anyone else been affected by idiots panic buying?
Daz Same for me matt. Wudnt have been goin to work if i hadnt got fuel. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Matt I've been cycling the last couple of days, but we are going away this weekend, and we needed petrol. I've got 7 night shifts next week, so I'll be cycling again then.
herb-16v Yer same every where closed shell asda Tesco only place who had it today was Morrisons and that was full cars every where just total mad
Matt Jamee said: Got half a tank left, how long this strike going on for? There isn't even going to be a strike!
Jamee Oh right, didnt know as havent watched any telly in weeks. So why is everyone panic buying and running out of petrol in stations?
Matt There was talk of a possible strike over Easter, and some dick in the government said we should "stockpile" petrol just incase, so everyone went mental, and decided to buy petrol. They have agreed today not to strike over Easter, but may strike at a later date
Jamee they only say all that to get people buying more petrol so it creates money in taxes for them...
Matt That would not surprise me in the slightest. I filled up last week, and V-Power was 146.9p, this morning it was 150.9p. Bloke had to fill up his 350Z on his way to work this morning, and it was 158.9p on the motorway!
Jamee I use tesco momentum in mine, higher octane than Vpower, and cheaper.. The BM used to cost me £92 to fill up so its nice the astra is only £60
Jamee Are right, thought vpower was 98 as well. I would use v power, always did, but tesco is cheaper, i get tesco points and its closer to me by about 5-6 miles.
Matt I'm the opposite, I've got two Shell garages on my way to work depending on which was I go, but the nearest Tesco is the other side of Sheffield.
BURT150 In the paper yesterday i read that the gvmnt made 32million for the days before in fuel duty due to panic buying and 80% increase in fuel sale. Just goes to show what the gready f**kin tyrants are up to it'l be alot more money by now! on a brighter note tho the idiot that suggested we stock pile fuel is or has been sacked. We've been striped yet again lol
Sjdickso I filled up cos I was on fumes, but most local stations had run out. When is it year end for the fuel companies? What was the crazy comment about having jerry cans with fuel in?
Matt The comment about jerry cans was what come government minister said, and he advised to "store fuel in case". BP behind my house now has fuel, and seems to be running normally today.
Matt Also, read in the paper today, the tanker drivers are on £45k a year, which they don't think is enough!!
