modified Linea Rossa 2.2..... need exhaust advise please

I have a 2.2 linea Rossa with the below mods:

fast road cams
Remap
Polished and ported TB
Stainless steel down pipe and sports cat
Dbilas 4 branch manifold
de restricted filter and veccy C intake
Custom intake pipe from TB to filter

When I bought the car, the owner put the standard cat back system back on and I feel that all the above is being held back with a standard 2" cat back.

I have been looking at maybe a milltek 2.5" cat back system but I have heard that these can be very loud on NA cars with a sports cat fitted.

Some members have suggested and have seen good results by using a standard turbo cat back system as its 2.25" so even though its OEM it still has the extra 0.25 to increase flow.

Just wanted to get your opinions as to what route is best and which would see the most improvements.

I am sure Adam had a custom blueflame cat back done not sure what size it was though, mayhave to look through some previous posts, i have heard a few people say 2.5 systems can be very loud.

I've got a scorpion 2.5" cat back and it's not as loud as I thought it would be, on idle it has a nice burble but when you give it some it is pretty loud as you'd expect. I don't find it that bad at all tbh.

People also seem to notice a loss in low down torque with the 2.5" system, but a decent 2.25" set up retains this.

I have Adams stainless exhaust fitted to my car. I can provide pictures and/or measure exhaust pipes if required.

NOTE: The exhaust is quite loud.

I'm just thinking that as he had his mapped with the system and now it has the OEM system on that I am losing most of the benefits of all the mods it has ;-(

Ill measure it tomorrow and reply with the sizes. I do know from memory it has a slightly smaller centre box that standard, 200cpi sports cat & a massive oval exit :eek:

So how loud is loud? I bought a poerflow catback which had a resonated centre and that was stupidly loud and now am back to OEM set up for now.

Do you think it will be holding back as it was remapped with the 2.5" system and now running the standard 2"?
