miniator The side bump / rub strips on my astra were badly faded. Heard about this trick a few weeks ago....the video shall do the talking! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ue-1_Jk2Y0
Matt That's a really good 50/50 difference. Will use this on the wifes corsa when I get round to correcting the paint.
miniator tidies it up nicely doesnt it. ill still need to put some form of protection on it - heard good things about peanut butter and shoe polish lol!
Matt I've seen people use hairspray and a heat gun before. That did a decent job of getting it back to black.
miniator Ive got some chemical guys new look trim gel. i used it on the bump strips before but they were so faded they looked terrible. at least now when i use it, itll be uniformly black!

dodger AG Bumper Care is excellant on getting bump strips looking black with good protection too. I heard of peanut butter too but that is for removing polish from bump strips etc

Matt Only decent AG products I've found is the super resin polish. All the other stuff I've just found to be overpriced with far better / cheaper alternatives about.
miniator Yup agreed, SRP is brilliant stuff particularly when worked with a DA. I also use it after de-swirl for its filling characteristics - helps cover up marks that are too deep to fully remove
Matt I'll be using SRP when I do the wife's Corsa, as after seeing the paint at the weekend after giving it a wash, I'll be able to get most of the bad marks out, but a few of the deeper ones may need some extra filling.
JohnnyN I suggested the heat gun to a chap in work last week. We went at it in our lunch break and the results were tip top. It does work. 😉
