Oil Catch Can questions

I've seen a how to for a Z22SE oil catch can intall on an astra G but this also used a vectra C airbox to throttle body pipe which didn't have an oil breather connection

My question is should the outlet from the catch can go back to the throttle body intake pipe?

Does the engine rely on the vacuum created by the venturie affect where the breather meets the intake?

The outlet from the catch tank on my car is connected to another pipe that has a small breather filter on the end and vents out down the back of the engine.

Be aware though, the breather pipe is important, its needed to suck hot air from the cam case, if not enough vacuum is present the oil pressure will rise and cause seals around your engine to give way, this happened to me with my crank case seal,hope this helps cheers

Thanks I tought this was the case so the way to do it is pipe from rocker cover to catch can then pipe from catch can to intake.

I fitted one to mine, only had it on for a couple of days, car didn't seem to run right so I took it off and clean the throttle body every few months.

Did you fit it the way I just suggested above or did you block of the hole on the intake pipe?

It was a few years back but 90% sure I fitted it with the return pipe going back so no filter or open, just like you said. Car started fine but the typical flat spot felt much worse. That was opinion.
