My Vectra Z22SE Rolling Road Results

Hi All,

I've always been intrigued by my cars performance as despite many people saying the Z22SE powered Vectra C is under-powered; I have never felt this!

So......

I took it to a RR session to see what kind of condition my engine is is. The engine is completely standard.

<u>Results</u>

WHP - 141 BHP
Fly Est - 164 BHP

Torque at wheels - 163 ft/lb's
Torque at fly - 174 ft/lb's

Quite happy with that.

That's a good result. Nice to have power at the wheels and power at the fly as well.

Standard running 164...15 above standard....is that possible or just optimistic rollers??

I was pretty happy!

The RR operator said it was a factory freak. :rolf:

There was a slight issue with the coast down which we think related back to the fact the tracking was out. The final fly est fluctuated between 164 - 169 BHP as a result. I've had the tracking done and will be heading back soon to see if that removes the slight coast down discrepancy.

Still the WHP is what it is so very happy. Suprised with the torque too!

Just seen your reply mate. I was the same too, very uncertain at first. The RR is brand new so hopefully it is fairly accurate.

That's not a bad transmission loss either, so if it's pulling that sort of WHP, that's a very good motor.

fair enough - i wanna see what kind bhp mine is now.

she can fend of a MK1 Leon Cupra 180, although shes not standard

Went on another RR session; the final figures were as follows.

WHP - 139
Est power at fly (BHP) - 165

Torque at fly (ft-lb's) - 173

Really happy.

That is good figures, esp for standard nice that you have two seperate runs with similar results. Nothing worse then having one set of results doing some mods and going to another RR'd and end up having worse figures :mad:.

Cheers guys, I was happy it ran similar figures. Can't play with the engine for a while as my girlfriend and myself move to a new house at the end of this month. All my spare money has gone towards the new place. Once i'm financially back on my feet I can get a few things done.
