As title gave the vxr a bit of tlc today. changed the gear oil to see if it helped my gearbox issue, the oil that came out was black, dont think its ever been changed, also added a molyslip additive in there too... gear changes are ab it smoother now but i still have my clunk, which i have traced to a duff rear moutning,so will get one ordered monday..
Next was the engine oil, which was as black as the ace of spades, i dont know who done the last service but didnt they tighten the filter up... had to destroy it to get it off... gonna change it again in a few weeks just to make sure its clean in there,,,(got a load gen gm filters cheap anyhow) and my oil is free....
