Spent the weekend putting some of the powerflex bushes onto me car.
I found an easier way of putting the front arb bushes on. I say easier but its a bit fiddly and you need small to medium size hands. If you undo the furthest away (from engine) bolt holding the arb bush cover a few turns. Then undo the closest (to engine bolt) and remove completely. Remove the drop link and you should be able to move the arb towards the engine thus releasing the cover & bush. Easier said than done but it is possible. I found it even easier to remove the wishbone too. Whilst they were off they were given a lovely set of purple bushes too. Also replaced the drop links & the suspension top mounts for new ones.
I also modified the front engine bush to fit the auto box engine mount. Bit of slicin' n dicin' the rubber & it was a tight fit!
Now when you push down on the front end it hardly moves. Few other bits to do now and it will be ready to have an engine again! 😃
