Hero Tyres

Has anyone ever heard of this brand, noticed today my inner sides of the front tyres have scubbed off and i am ready for a new set now. went to three tyre places all said they had budget tyres in in the last place he said he could get some Hero tyres which are mid range, but i have never heard of them.

I have never in the past or will i put non named / un known tyres as it is too important.

Are they a mid range tyre then Daz? dont want anything un rated on the car esp when we take little man out in the car.

Premium tyre all the way Si. Continental Contact Sport 3 on the Audi and Toyo's on the Vectra.

I know you are right Johnny.

Would only use Toyos or Eagles on the Clio due to have livley it is, Have been very impressed with the Hankooks on the astra so may see if i can source them again. The softer rubber stuff only seems to give me about 3k on the front with the Astra.

How come you are only getting 3K to a set Si? I'd be mortified if I only got that from mine

That was with the Avon ZZ3 and the Eagle F1's, they just seem to scrub off on the inside, even with all the poly bushes / new drop links etc and properly aligned.

Summat definately not right there Si.

Really does seem like it John. I've had the Vredestein on mine for 11 months now, and there is no visible wear on them at all.

Had it at mulitple tyre places and even a rally place where they did a full geometry check all was fine, i heard many people with Turbo rims suffer from the inner part of the tyre scrub off.

Although the Hankooks have lasted me 13months and 12k so am ok with that.

First post, but my inside edges have gone on mine too, kumhos that were on the car when I bought it in September. I was pretty impressed with them to be honest.

Welcome to the site, after doing some research looks like it is very common on the Astra esp with Turbo Rims.
