stemacca i have read about a few people removing the pre-cat on the vectra c but i have the vectra b so dont know if that makes a difference. i know removing the pre-cat its self is easy enough but would my car fail on emissions? and would it affect performance in a bad way as there would be less back pressure would the ecu pick up on that and start using more fuel to compensate? Thanks
si_c1978 its all good. its a massive restricion in your exhaust essentialy. there is a sticky on removing it on here somewhere. make sure your clean and try not to drop loadsa shit down your downpipe or you will get a problem 🙂
astra22bertoneauto I found it easier to remove the downpipe/cat section to work on away from the car. I had to replace the middle & rear sections anyway so was a good opportunity. No it wont affect emissions but it does make the car a touch more responsive
