vectra c z22se mega engine problems plz help

hey all am new to the sight and was looking for well a lot of help

i bought a vectra c 2.2 sri in black about 5 months ago and on the test drive it was ok not the best but ok
then about 2 months after having it the big problems started like rattling constinly when driving
and the following

loosing and burning oil 5 litres a week
mayo on dipstick and oil cap
knocking noice just started getiing worse can only hear it when car starts then dies down
water pouring out of number 4 spark plug chamber and no water in tank
white smoke from exhasut and not just a little bit a mean alot
engine shaped icon on dash dont no what is is i have blacked the egr off but i think it made it worse
very lumpy driving when on low revs or when chaging gears
and rev counter not going below 2000 when clutch is depressed only when fully stopped then it goes to about 800 rev

i have a replacement engine for it but the guy who a got it from says it burns about a litre of oil a month and was wondering if a new engine block or head would fix this and if that would fix all the other problems

sounds like you current engine has a cracked head - which is causing your problems.

the z22se burns oil due to the oil scraper rings getting clogged up.

hey guys just a quike update on ma car

well the other day i was not out in my car for 2 or 3 days so whent out to make sure it started and it did but when it did start it sounded like someone hit it with a hammer over and over again for like 10 seconds then dissappeared

then yesterday myself and partner whent down to asdas in livingston to get shooping and on the way down it felt like there was no power atole but got to asdas no problem

came out of asdas started the car all ok , then i drove about a mile and then dead, all lights whent off , wouldnt attempt to turn over
i had my foot on the accelerator coming off a roundabout near morrisons got to about 30 mph then the speed started to drop a put it in lower gear and just came to a sudden holt then nothing

had my hazzzards on and that lasted like 3 min and even they stopped working so now am car less with a car that dont work and an engine waiting to be replaced just need to get time to do it , any offers on helping as a dont have a clue lol

Sounds like yer alternator has gone too. You aint havin much luck mate.
If your replacement engine burns oil too then I would rebuild it's head, check and possibly replace the piston rings and do its chain before you put it in.
Im not far from Edinburgh and can carry out that work on the engine for you if you can get it down to me.

The thing with the loss of power is could be limp home mode. If there is a fault the ECU deams is harmful to the engine then it gives you just enough power to get you to the side of the road/off the motorway.
