More loud tapping noise from Z22YH engine

Hi guys,

It's again I have to write for advice regarding my 04 reg 2.2 direct vectra which i have had for just over 2 years now.

I messaged about this time last year when it was making the same noise which you can see here:

I've had the chain done by Benny about 2 years ago, last serviced end of October 2011 by Vauxhall, there are no lights on the dash, the engine itself runs perfectly with no loss of power or anything and it's been doing this for 2 weeks now with no change.

that sounds more like the hydraulic lifters, might be worth running an engine oil flush through, then use some new engine oil and filter.

ahhh ok, that sounds fair enough, ill get it booked in straight away. . . bit strange it needs another oil change 3 months later, only done about 1000 miles in it since then too but then engines are too complicated to try and work out so it's better just to agree with what it wants 😃
