limp mode until warm

car is 22 zafira showo..
started just showing up and off on ignition would lose the limp mode icon
had journey via train crossing , large offside pothole big bang and shocks fully used cryb..

now car starts limp mode , revs high into 3000 - 4000 rpm then drops and irratic idle below 800rpm and can fully stop ,. cryb.. cryb.. then when turn off judders and spits before shutting down .... cryb..

Unless :crazy: fully reached optimum driving temperature then drives fine all day unless lost optimum driving temp then starts limp mode again cryb..

thinking blank plate on egr or coolant temp sensor replacing any ideas ????????
should i do these things or leave to my mechanic to fix ??

It could be a few things, but worth blanking off the egr valve.

Next would be coilpack, plugs, catalytic convertor and then check cam timing
