Ok well I now have my new car, photos will, of course, be posted up in due course, however I would like to ask you lovely lot that are experienced in the world of Vectras, these xenon headlamps, when I got the car & drove it back from Somerset to Cambridgeshire it was dark & I noticed the lights were pointing skywards. The good people of the world driving the opposite way did their very best to let me know that this was the case by blinding me with their lights. Can't recall exactly how many times I flashed back at them whispering loudly my agitated cursings, but I think it was well over 100, lol. Now I am aware that these lights are auto adjusted so they don't dazzle on comers but mine failed to see why they should & insisted on searching for alien life forms on distant planets. I can tell that the car has had the battery disconected at some point due to the windows not opening & closing as they should & also the knowledge that the engine has had some headwork done but the windows have been reset. The question I ask is do these lights have a reset precedure after a power interuption? I have manually wound down the lights to a less offensive level but would like to make sure all is well & they work as they should.
Thank you.
