Using a Z2.2YH head gasket on a Z2.2SE

Has any one used a Z2.2YH head gasket on a Z2.2SE engine, the gaskets seem to be much better quality and identical apart from the thickness, the Z2.2YH gasket seems to measure up 0.04mm thicker than the Y2.2SE gasket which should take into account some of the material taken from the head after a light skim? vauxhalls tech stuff says you cant or shouldnt skim the Z2.2SE heads?!!! Im guessing if you take to much material of the head the valve timing alters?

I have a z22yh head gasket on mine, which started life as a z20net / saab turbo engine.

But I have fitted a few z22yh head gaskets to the z22se engine and lots more z20net / saab head gaskets :thumbup:

I have 1mm skimmed off my z20net / saab head, it's quite a common mod to increase the CR. The most you can skim is about 2mm, but that gives a 12:1 CR and perhaps a bit high for most engines.

The z22yh head gasket is supposed to be the thinnest head gasket, then the z22se and finally the thicker 3 layer z20net / saab dunno..
