my corrado vr6

Hi Guys not been on for ages!

I went a little crazy in the summer and bought a rado 2.9 vr6! I sold my astra h for £4600! had it less than 2 years and paid £9000 for it!
sold all the bits i put on it and got £2300 back :wtf:

But ended up buying a complete lemon of a car, has some engine issues which has now lead me down the road of buying a new engine!
I am going to fit a golf 2.8 vr6 engine with the newer odb2 managment system in the new year.

I have been so fed up with it the last few months 🙁

It seams to be they all have issues! Not looked after and cost a small fortune to fix!

To re ring the pistons is £300 just for rings let alone hone the block etc 🙁

But the sound is something else!

They are becoming a classic, the vr6 are worth more in parts than cars unless very good!

Mine needs wheels and coilovers ASAP! And a milltek exhaust 🙂

I haven't come up against one to see :lol:

But I think they will be similar in speed, but god the thing is not of the pace even at 19 years old!

Raced a 325i BMW and pissed all over it!

The engine is ok, but has a leaking rear crank seal, leaking rocker cover, top chain tensioners are noisy and possible rings shot! It's smoke under load when thrashing it!

Looks well Rob, pitty about the engine but sure it will be fine after new is in.

The new engine I have bought has had a rebuild and includes the gearbox etc

The previous owner spent nearly 3k doing all the engine and over hauling the gear box!

I would love to turbo it! They get a healthy 380 bhp with the right kit and mapping

I have had, a 2.2 astra g, 2.0 astra g and a astra h 1.9 cdti 150 derv remapped to 200 bhp

This thing should be 190 bhp standard and is rapid spins the wheels in 2nd easy and keeps up with astra vxr's

Well bit of an update! i bought 2 new engines!

Well i bought the golf 2.8 odb2 that was rebuilt! then got a phone call while in italy last week being offered a remanufactured engine by VEGE for £660 delivered
so i bought that to!

So the golf engine is going to be sold on and the new one going in! This car is going to be a minter once finished in the summer!
