aux belt

bit of a weird one, mine snapped on me a month back, so i replaced it and all was well. driving home earlier and heard what i would describe as lots of stones kicking up, next thing battery light on and no power steering. got it home and the belt has snapped again! the noise must have been it whipping round while still on

any ideas?

whats condition is the aux belt tensioner in sounds like its knackered

is it easy to replace? as its a pain to put the ratchet in when fitting a new belt

Only one bolt to undo iirc. may have a second hand one available next week.

its in the garage for the night now, been and got a new belt already.

i'll check the condition of it in the morning

been out and checked it all, wheels are all perfectly aligned, free running where needed and free from any sharp points, so ive fitted a new belt and she's purring away again
