hi, i have put mates head back on and fitted everything back together, done chain etc as it snapped and bent two inlet valves on piston no.2( head been to a specialist and been repaired ). now it wont start! put a fully charged battery on and seemed to drain it very quikly, tried jumping for abit extra power and it doesnt turn over very fast, could this be the problem? checked all connections as in earths etc! coming to the coil pack, does it need a bit of lube on the rubber tubes that fit over the plugs so they slide over the plugs nicely and make contact as when i put it on it just seemed like the rubber tubes where resting on top of the plugs as in it woudnt sit flush with the cam cover. so thought after screwing it down the rubber tubes would just slide onto the plugs but when i untigntened the bolts again to take it off to check, it just sprung up again as if the tubes hadnt even fully went over the plugs but just been resting on top of them, if you know what i mean? i remember when on first loosening these bolts, while stripping for the repair the coil pack stayed flush with the cam cover and didnt spring up, hence i dont think they are sitting fully on the plugs now and maybe why it wont start as theres no connection?
sorry if it sounds dumb just looking for a bit advice please, cheers, dave.
