Fuel leaking.

Hi guys I'm needing some help regarding a fuel leak. Basically I had a local guy to replace the fuel filter which he made a right mess off as he has put 3 jubilee clips on the pipe to the rear of the fuel filter which is now leaking. What parts will I need to get this repaired.

THe pipes are plastic iirc, so he must of had to cut the end of the pipes to fit jubbile clips... so to do the job correctly you will need new fuel pipes 😐

Thanks for the offer and I live in Belfast would you know the part number for the the fuel line and roughly how much it would cost going to have to fixed this asap as it is leaking badly as I'm getting 16 miles on a 1/4 tank of petrol. :problem:

only other answer m8 is buy some proper pressurized fuel hose and use jubilee clips on either end

the pipes are plastic from the pump to the filter so if they do corrode they need to be replaced - replace the whole section !

i cracked the clip taking my filter off buy luckily it clipped back in and hasnt leaked yet lol

Take it straight back to the guy who messed it up and demand he sorts it because he broke it. seemples.

He also messed up a wishbone as well :x .Is the rear fuel feed pipe difficult to replace as I going to take a trip to the local vauxhall dealer tomorrow.

Depends which pipe it is, is it from tank to filter, or filter to front?....

Its from the tank to the filter.

Shudnt be that bad then..... worst case is u may have to drop the tank....

Had a look on TIS, looks like you need to drop the tank to get to the fuel line

would offer the 'local guy ' to fix it before going to dealers

if he refuses then get dealers to repair then sue him in a small claims court

providing local guy is legit 🙂

I will not be getting him to touch the car again absolute waster. I ring a couple of local garages to get quotes.
