Under bonnet cleaning

Whats good for cleaning under the engine bay area? My car has been sat a while and has white stuff growing aound the engine and the black parts are dusty. I want it looking new again 🙂

Just a good All Purpose Cleaner should do the trick Mark.

AutoGlym Engine & Machine Cleaner. Spray on, leave a while then rinse off or wipe off. I would then spray AutoGlym Vinyl & Rubber Care over the plastics and hoses. Leave on without wiping off for maximum effect or just wipe over plactics/hoses.

i use autoglym for my motor and must admit the finish from the resin polish is fucking amazing

i want to clean my engine bay but i am a bit uncertain lol - i end up taking all the sensors and electrical stuff out first

today i gave my tb another clean as it was looking a bit oily however there was hardly oil inside the tb but it had run down the outside lol

I use a protuct called TFR (Traffic film remover) £35.00 for 20 ltrs. This stuff is used for trailer curtains and vehicle chassis, I use on engine bays, alloy wheels etc.
I use 50/50 mix which removes all grease muck from under wheel arches, leaves like new. Best product i ever used...

The stuff that's grown on my engine is white, it looks like lime scale. It rubs off when I rub it with a cloth or by hand. It's because my car has been sat a while

Its the ali goin back to its origional state....Powder lol....

So it's nothing to worry about Daz. It might vanish when I start using the car when the engine is getting used
