flatbeat getting an astra coupe on a 51 plate the person says it knocks at 2500 rpm and has told me that its the big ends and that this is a common prob on the 2.2 on tick over it sounds quiet but knocks at 2500 can anyone help?
flatbeat tbh i have not seen the car yet just got told by the owner at the big ends have gone so i am only going at the min what he is telling me the car has only done 62k miles so dont understand if the big ends have gone i have a spare engine
MikeS it will be burning off oil m8 let alone knocking if it is the engine m8 then it aint worth more than 400 - 500 quid
vocky big ends knocking means the crank is dead too :thumbdown: the upside is you can flog the head to get some money towards another full engine 😃
