Been shopping at the holy land - Courtenay's!

I have been building up the parts needed for the next phase of the Astra 2.2project!

So off to Courtenay today and picked up the following :-

Chris Tullet exhaust manifold.

To go with this is a 2.5" Piper down pipe with 200 cell Sports cat. New gaskets, bolts, nuts and studs etc.

Then Jon and I got talking about brake upgrades, and I came away with a new Astra VXR 322mm brake kit. I also bought a set of braided hoses to go with it.

This should help things in a big way.

Last but not least, a shiney badge which Courtenay have made specifically for the 2.2 rocker cover.

So come the spring it will be a busy time!

I like that brake upgrade. Wish that was available for the Vectra B. That manifold looks great. Must get that sorted.

You'll notice a nice gain in torque with that system fitted.

We have sat and talked long and hard about it. But I can't justify spending £4k on a stage one supercharger to be honest. Especially as in a couple of years I may change the car. So I am going to fit this lot, get it re-mapped again and what ever it ends up, that will be it.

The theory is that everything done so far is reversable and I have kept everything to put back.

But it should drive really well out on the road when done. The chassis is as good as you can get, the brakes will be more than enough and if I get between 165 and 170bhp after the re-map, then I will be happy. It will make a really good fun car to drive.

thats the same monifold as i have, dont fit it to a s/c car it wont last 5 mins.had mine welded twice now, and it needs doing again!
